Xavier Weaver
Xavier Weaver Ruled out for Week 15
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 3:20 PM
Weaver (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Weaver has not yet practiced in any capacity since he popped up on last Thursday's injury report with a hamstring issue. With Marvin Harrison (heel) also ruled out versus Houston, expect at least two of Jalen Brooks, Bryson Green, Tejhaun Palmer, Trent Sherfield or Steven Sims to be elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's contest.
Emari Demercado
Emari Demercado Questionable for Week 15
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 3:18 PM
Demercado (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: Demercado still hasn't logged a full practice since suffering a high-ankle sprain, but he's at least managed limited sessions for two weeks now, showing enough to be listed as 'questionable' after the past three weeks saw him ruled out Friday. Once he returns, Demercado figures to push Bam Knight and/or Michael Carter for playing time.
Elijah Higgins
Elijah Higgins Added to injury report
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 3:14 PM
Higgins is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston after missing Friday's practice with an illness, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: He hasn't seen enough targets to warrant fantasy consideration, but Higgins has taken over more playing time recently due to Arizona's numerous WR injuries. Josiah Deguara and Pharaoh Brown could be tasked with larger roles if Higgins is declared inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.
Michael Wilson
Michael Wilson Positioned as WR1 for Week 15
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 12:41 PM
Wilson will operate as Arizona's top wide receiver versus the Texans on Sunday, with Marvin Harrison (heel) ruled out, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Wilson has dominated across the three games Harrison has missed since Week 11, finishing with double-digit catches and over 100 yards receiving in all three of those contests. Versus the Rams in Week 14, Wilson tallied a 11-142-2 line on 16 targets, with almost all of quarterback Jacoby Brissett's production being split between himself and tight end Trey McBride. While Wilson now faces a rough road matchup against Houston, Wilson seems assured of massive target volume for as long as Harrison is sidelined, making it difficult to consider him anything less than a WR1 for fantasy purposes.
Marvin Harrison
Marvin Harrison Expected to play again this year
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 11:14 AM
Harrison (heel) won't play Sunday at Houston, but Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday that he expects the wideout to return this season, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Harrison will miss a second straight game after suffering a heel injury Week 13, his first game back from appendicitis. He'll now have missed four of the past five games, without any practice participation since injuring his heel, but Gannon did say Friday that Harrison is "doing a lot better," per Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com. In the meantime, Michael Wilson will lead Arizona's WR corps in a tough matchup this Sunday, with Andre Baccellia, Jalen Brooks, Trent Sherfield and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) being the other likely candidates for top-three roles. No. 2 TE Elijah Higgins also gets a boost in projected playing time with Arizona's WR room so depleted.
Marvin Harrison
Marvin Harrison Missing second straight game
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 11:06 AM
Head coach Jonathan Gannon ruled out Harrison (heel) for Sunday's game in Houston, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Harrison didn't practice in any fashion this week and will miss his second straight game due to the heel issue, ultimately being sidelined for the fourth time in five games overall after he was out Weeks 11 and 12 while recovering from an appendectomy. With Harrison unavailable once again, wideout Michael Wilson and tight end Trey McBride should continue to command heavy target volume from quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is averaging 43.1 pass attempts per game through eight starts.
Xavier Weaver
Xavier Weaver Still not practicing
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 4:10 PM
Weaver (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Weaver hasn't practiced since last Thursday, when he initially popped up as limited due to a hamstring injury. He, along with top WR Marvin Harrison (heel), hasn't been able to mix into drills so far this week, seemingly putting both players on the outside looking in to play Sunday at Houston. Currently, Michael Wilson and Andre Baccellia are the only healthy options at the position on the Cardinals' active roster, while Jalen Brooks, Trent Sherfield, Tejhaun Palmer, Bryson Green and Steven Sims are possible practice-squad elevations for Week 15 action.
Emari Demercado
Emari Demercado Another limited showing
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 4:04 PM
Demercado (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Demercado has been listed as limited on four of the Cardinals' last five injury reports as he continues his recovery from the high-ankle sprain that has sidelined him the last three games. In the end, Friday's practice report will reveal if Demercado has a chance to rejoin Arizona's backfield Sunday at Houston, but for the time being, Bam Knight and Michael Carter are in line to continue sharing the load this weekend.
Marvin Harrison
Marvin Harrison Another DNP on Thursday
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 12:34 PM
Harrison (heel) isn't practicing Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Harrison thus will have just one more chance to mix into drills this week, or else he'll be at risk of missing a second game in a row due to a heel injury. If he sits out again Sunday at Houston, it'll mark his fourth absence in the past five games after he sat out Weeks 11-12 following an appendectomy. Fellow WR Michael Wilson prospered during Harrison's three recent absences, totaling a 36-445-2 line on 49 targets in those contests. Andre Baccellia is the only other healthy wide receiver on Arizona's active roster.
Xavier Weaver
Xavier Weaver Doesn't practice Wednesday
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 5:37 PM
Weaver (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Both Weaver and Marvin Harrison (heel) sat out drills to begin Week 14 prep, meaning Michael Wilson and Andre Baccellia are the only healthy wide receivers on the Cardinals' active roster at the moment. The team elevated Jalen Brooks and Trent Sherfield from the practice squad for this past Sunday's game against the Rams, and similar transactions likely will come to pass if one or both of Harrison and Weaver are sidelined again Sunday at Houston. Ultimately, Weaver likely will need to practice Thursday and/or Friday in order to have a chance to suit up this weekend.
Emari Demercado
Emari Demercado Limited again Wednesday
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 4:32 PM
Demercado (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Demercado has missed the past three games due to a high-ankle sprain and hasn't yet progressed enough in his recovery to log a full practice. He'll have two more opportunities to do so the week before the Cardinals potentially make a ruling on his status for Sunday's contest at Houston. Coach Jonathan Gannon announced earlier Wednesday that Trey Benson (knee) won't be activated from injured reserve, meaning his season is over. If Demercado puts himself in a position to return to action this weekend, he'd join Bam Knight and Michael Carter as options out of Arizona's backfield.
Marvin Harrison
Marvin Harrison Another DNP
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 4:25 PM
Harrison (heel) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Harrison remains sidelined due to the heel injury he picked up in the fourth quarter of a Week 13 loss at Tampa Bay. With Harrison out again this past Sunday against the Rams -- like in Weeks 11-12 when he was unavailable following an appendectomy -- fellow WR Michael Wilson again went off, hauling in 11 of 16 targets for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Joining Harrison as a DNP on Wednesday was Xavier Weaver (hamstring), meaning Wilson and Andre Baccellia are the only healthy wide receivers on the Cardinals' active roster at the moment.
Trey Benson
Trey Benson Will not return this season
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 10:52 AM
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Benson (knee) will not be activated from IR, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2025 season, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Benson had his 21-day practice window opened in late November, and he initially managed limited on-field activity before being downgraded to consistent non-participant status. Instead, Bam Knight, Emari Demercado (ankle) and Michael Carter will handle Arizona's backfield reps for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. Carter, a 2024 third-round pick, had initially seemed primed for a substantial opportunity after starting running back James Conner (foot) went down to season-ending injury Week 3. Ultimately, Benson's durability concerns make his expected role murky for the 2026 season, which will be the last year of Conner's contract with the Cardinals.
Elijah Higgins
Elijah Higgins Minimal output in Week 14
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 10:08 PM
Higgins caught his only target for no yards during Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Higgins started alongside top TE Trey McBride in Week 14 and logged a season-high 66 percent snap share with a number of injuries affecting the Cardinals' receiving corps, but the increased workload didn't translate to the box score. In addition to his usage on offense, Higgins tallied one tackle on kick coverage. He now boasts a meager 19-179-0 line on 23 targets through 13 games this season, effectively keeping him off the fantasy radar.
Andre Baccellia
Andre Baccellia Little output despite starting
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 10:06 PM
Baccellia recorded one catch (on three targets) for three yards during Sunday's 45-17 defeat to the Rams.
Analysis: The Cardinals were without WRs Marvin Harrison (heel, inactive), Greg Dortch (chest, IR) and Xavier Weaver (hamstring, inactive) in Week 14, affording Baccellia an opportunity for his first career start. Baccellia took a back seat to Michael Wilson in receiving output (11-142-2 on 16 targets) and matched him with a 79 percent snap share, the latter of which easily outpaced practice-squad elevations Jalen Brooks (40 percent) and Trent Sherfield (nine percent). Even if Baccellia retains such a workload this coming Sunday, facing the unyielding Texans defense doesn't portend much production for a player with nine receptions in 17 appearances in his career.
Trent Sherfield
Trent Sherfield Goes back to practice squad
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 8:18 PM
Sherfield reverted to Arizona's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: Sherfield got his first elevation since joining Arizona in mid-November for Sunday's loss to the Rams and played nine of 62 offensive snaps, fourth-most among Cardinals wideouts. He finished with one target (which he didn't catch) and also played 20 snaps on special teams, making two tackles on kick coverage. Sherfield's opportunity came as a result of Marvin Harrison (heel) and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) missing the contest, and Sherfield's likelihood of being elevated again for Week 15 could hinge on the health of those two players.
Jalen Brooks
Jalen Brooks Reverts to practice squad
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 8:08 PM
Brooks reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad Monday, per the league's transaction log.
Analysis: Brooks was elevated to the Cardinals' active roster for Sunday's game against the Rams, and he finished with two catches (on three targets) for 32 yards and returned three kickoffs for 66 yards. With Greg Dortch (chest) on injured reserve and both Marvin Harrison (heel) and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) dealing with injuries, Brooks could be elevated from the practice squad for this Sunday's road tilt against the Texans.
Bam Knight
Bam Knight Abysmal showing Sunday
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 10:24 PM
Knight was held to 16 yards on seven carries while catching three of six targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Knight failed to take advantage of lead-back duties with both Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle) still missing in action Sunday. The 24-year-old Knight struggled to generate much running room early on, falling victim to the blowout game script in the second half. The journeyman backup failed to mask his poor production with a trip to the end zone like we saw in Weeks 11 and 12. With the aforementioned teammates potentially nearing returns, Knight's brief run of fantasy utility could come to a close in short order, assuming it hasn't run dry already.
Jacoby Brissett
Jacoby Brissett Throws two TDs in blowout loss
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 9:03 PM
Brissett completed 25 of 44 pass attempts for 271 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while adding 22 rushing yards on four attempts in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Brissett got off to a hot start when he drove his team down the field for a touchdown pass on the game's opening possession, but that's where the good news dries out. The veteran signal-caller was clamped down from there on out, salvaging his day from a fantasy perspective with a garbage-time touchdown in the fourth quarter. Brissett's three-game streak of reaching 300 passing yards came to an end Sunday, but he is still posting voluminous passing numbers while starting for the fledgling Cardinals. Kyler Murray (foot) has still not been reinstated off of injured reserve, leaving Brissett to handle a rough road matchup against the Texans next Sunday.
Trey McBride
Trey McBride Modest totals in losing effort
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 8:14 PM
McBride had five receptions on nine targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: McBride was held in check -- by his own lofty standards set -- in a matchup against a tough defense Sunday. The 25-year-old still finished with modest receiving numbers while catching at least five passes in every game this season. McBride continues to operate as one of the top fantasy tight ends in football, producing a 93-937-8 receiving line through 13 starts. The Texans present another tough matchup on paper next Sunday, but McBride's talent overrides any potential downgrade for Week 15.
